The Executive Financial Planning Group is an independent, experienced financial planning firm that seeks to achieve and sustain its clients’ wealth and retirement goals. For over 30 years, our group of experienced, professional advisors has assisted many families and businesses in developing comprehensive financial strategies designed to help our clients retire with added confidence and security.

Today, the Executive Financial Group was started with the belief that our firm would provide more personalized service and a more comprehensive and focused approach to the financial planning process. We believe that our group of independent financial professionals is better able to provide unbiased advice and a more specific financial strategy for each individual client.

Today, the Executive Financial Planning Group is a family-owned and -operated financial services firm rooted in the local community. Craig Sabo

Craig is the founder of the Executive Financial Group, a financial services firm dedicated to helping clients plan and prepare for a more comfortable, less stressful retirement. For the past 32 years, Craig has guided the growth of Executive Financial into becoming one of western Pennsylvania’s well-experienced financial planning firms, committed to the goal of providing comprehensive, sound advice, and superior service. With his extensive experience and ability to deliver effective, easy-to-understand financial solutions, Craig has been successful in alleviating some of the fear, anxiety, and confusion many associate with the retirement planning process.

After graduating high school, Craig attended the University of Maryland, where he studied business and finance. Prior to establishing the Executive Financial Group, he worked for a Fortune 500 financial services company where he continued his education in the areas of retirement and estate planning.

Craig continues to further his education to this day and has taught courses on advanced business planning, personal growth and personal estate, and retirement planning.

Craig enjoys travel and outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, sport shooting, and collecting antiques with his family and friends. He and his wife, Carolyn, love spending time with their four children and two grandchildren.

Alexandra Sabo McCune

Director of Client Development

Alexandra, who holds her Pennsylvania Life Insurance License, serves as the director of client relations. She assists in developing a financial plan from initial client data through final presentation. She is in charge of the preparation of applications, new paperwork, the service of new and existing clients, and the day-to-day operations of the firm.With over 10 years at Executive Financial Group, Alexandra’s number one priority is to make sure your experience with the firm is pleasant and satisfying.

After graduating from Butler Senior High School in 2004, she attended (THE) Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in family financial management, more specifically personal financial planning. She has continued to maintain her industry knowledge by taking financial planning courses through the Boston Institute of Finance. She now resides in Butler with her husband, Matthew, her son, Benjamin, and her daughter, Sophia. When she is not working, she enjoys CrossFit, good literature, fashion, and most importantly, the company of her family and friends.

Steven Sabo

Financial Advisor

Steven, who holds a Series 65 and is registered as an investment advisor representative, meaning he follows a fiduciary standard in investment planning, is also insurance licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and serves as a financial advisor here at Executive Financial Group. His job as a financial advisor is to meet with clients and potential clients in order to assist them with constructing the best financial plan for their specific situation. With the needs of each client varying dramatically, he must make sure he stays up to date with all the latest financial information available to assist clients in coming up with a solution that fits them best. He prides himself on getting to know each client like they are his own family in order to best serve them. It is his belief that a relationship with a good financial planner can last for generations.

After graduating from Butler Senior High School in 2007, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Science in finance.

After finishing his degree at IUP, he went to work at his uncle’s financial planning firm, where he worked for four years as his assistant learning about the industry and honing his client relation skills. He then came back to join his father and sister at Executive Financial Group to be a part of something special and help take the business that his father started even further than it has already gone.

When he is not working with clients to better their financial future, he enjoys restoring the old Victorian home he resides in in the city of Butler. He also spends his time traveling, hunting, fishing, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends.
